HDPE is a thermoplastic resin with high crystallinity and non-crystallinity. The appearance of HDPE in its
original state is milky white, and it is semitransparent to a certain extent in its meager section. PE has excellent resistance to most domestic and industrial chemicals. Certain kinds of chemicals can cause chemical corrosion, such as corrosive oxidants(concentrated nitric acid), aromatic hydrocarbons (xylene) and halogenated hydrocarbons (carbon tetrachloride). The polymer does not absorb moisture and has good water vapor resistance, so it can be used for packaging. HDPE has good electrical properties, especially high dielectric strength, which makes it very suitable for wires and cables. Medium to high molecular weight grade has good impact resistance, even at normal temperature and low temperature of -40F.
