Expanded polystyrene (EPS)
Expanded polystyrene is determined by suspension polymerization of styrene, and then adding a foaming agent in the system.
White bead-like particles, the relative density of 1.05. Low thermal conductivity, water and small. Resistant to shock and vibration, heat insulation, sound insulation, moisture, vibration. Excellent dielectric properties.
EPS 104 is the intermediate material.
EPS is polystyrene (PS) foam rigid honeycomb, has good heat resistance and shock absorption, high compression strength, light weight and resistance to moisture.
Polystyrene is a small granular resin diameter is generally 0.01-0.1in. Most of these particles are beads produced by suspension polymerization, and the larger the particle diameter can be obtained by pelletizing. The size of the beads is determined using a minimum wall thickness of the final foam product. Larger particles made of a low density expanded foam products easier, smaller particles are more easily made uniform filling member.
The main purpose is the construction of PS foam insulation materials for industrial use, disposable utensils ( mainly coffee cups ) and seismic protective packaging materials.
Its use, including thermal and acoustic insulation of buildings, the side wall and the inner wall covering, packaging and disposable packaging containers.
